The Light
Composed by Ken Hartfield, September, 1969.

After experiencing the Cuban missile crisis in 1962, I recall this was a very frightening time, complete with air raid sirens and fall out shelter drills. By 1969 it appeared that the world powers had come to their senses when rockets were used to place a man on the moon instead of destroying the planet. This is what inspired me to write the song The Light.

Everyone has an energy field, it's up to you to let it shine. As Martin Luther King said:

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
Martin Luther King, Jr.
